Last Friday, 12 June, within the framework of the DCH Association’s Centre of Excellence in Employment Legislation, we hosted a meeting at Sagardoy for organisations from both the public and private sectors, focusing on pay transparency and legal certainty in people management.

In a context where pay transparency, internal equity and regulatory compliance are at the forefront of corporate agendas, People functions require more than just technical knowledge: they need legal certainty, strategic judgement and opportunities to exchange perspectives with peers.

The DCH Centre of Excellence: Employment Legislation was created as a meeting point for leaders who not only seek to understand their legal obligations, but also to anticipate risks, strengthen pay governance and turn compliance into a sustainable competitive advantage.

Together with our colleagues from Valorian and Fiabilis Consulting Group — who co-lead this Centre of Excellence alongside Sagardoy — we addressed key legal topics from a highly practical perspective. Highlights included the impact of pay equity on talent attraction, engagement and retention; how to implement pay transparency policies aligned with current legislation; how to design a remuneration structure consistent with business strategy; and the role of the People function in critical decision-making in the face of inspections, audits and new regulatory frameworks.

Following the opening remarks delivered by Alberto Pérez, Secretary General of DCH, and Martín Godino, Managing Partner of Sagardoy, our partners Jorge Campdera, CEO of Fiabilis Consulting Group, and Laura del Barrio, State Director of Legal Advisory at Valorian, took part as speakers. They were joined by the event’s keynote speakers, Gemma Fabregat, Professor of Labour and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia and Of Counsel at Sagardoy, and Manuel López Franco, Director of Organisational and Reward Strategy Consulting at Sagardoy. The session was further enriched by the Presidents of the Centres of Excellence in Employment Legislation and Public Sector, Ángel Javier Vicente, Chief People Officer at Ayesa, and Jorge Hernández Marijuan, HR and Organisation Director at Agencia EFE, who facilitated the session and moderated the discussion among attendees.

Our sincere thanks to all participants, guests and to DCH for making this meeting possible.
