Sagardoy has announced the appointment of Ana Goerlich León and Alberto Godino de Frutos as new partners of the firm, further strengthening its organisational structure. These appointments are part of Sagardoy’s ongoing growth and leadership strategy and reflect the firm’s long‑standing commitment to the professional development of its people, recognising the dedication, achievements and contribution of both lawyers to the firm.
Ana Goerlich has been with Sagardoy since 2017, having joined the firm as a trainee. Over the years, she has built a strong employment law practice, advising and representing clients in complex matters, with a particular focus on collective bargaining processes and corporate restructurings. She is also closely involved in the firm’s innovation initiatives, especially those related to the use of artificial intelligence in legal advice.
Commenting on her appointment, Ana said: “Becoming a partner at Sagardoy is both a great honour and a significant responsibility, particularly as this is the firm where I have developed professionally and whose values I strongly identify with.” She added that she enters this new phase “with gratitude, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to continuing to deliver the highest standard of advice to our clients.”
Alberto Godino, who joined Sagardoy in 2019, has likewise developed a highly regarded employment law practice, combining advisory and contentious work. He has been involved in a number of particularly complex matters and has built a career with an increasingly international dimension.
Reflecting on his new role, Alberto said: “Being appointed partner at Sagardoy is the highest professional recognition I could hope for,” adding that this new challenge also brings “a great sense of responsibility to continue contributing, from this position, to the firm’s strength and excellence.”
Both Ana and Alberto are consistently recognised by leading international legal directories, including Best Lawyers and The Legal 500, and are actively involved in academic and thought‑leadership activities as university lecturers and contributors to specialist publications.
Íñigo Sagardoy, Chairman of the firm, commented: “The appointment of Ana and Alberto highlights our commitment to nurturing internal talent and to professionals who truly embody the values of rigour, excellence and client focus that define Sagardoy.”
In the same vein, Martín Godino, Managing Partner, noted: “Both have shown exceptional capacity for growth, leadership and strategic vision, and their admission to the partnership further strengthens our long‑term project and our service‑driven approach.”
The promotion of Ana Goerlich and Alberto Godino to the partnership underlines Sagardoy’s focus on internal career development and reinforces a trajectory defined by technical excellence, commitment and the trust of its clients.
