Sagardoy has announced the appointment of Enrique Fontecha as the firm’s new Chief Executive Officer. This new role reinforces Sagardoy’s growth and leadership in labor law advisory services in Spain, while strengthening its executive structure and advancing the development of its business strategy and market positioning.

Enrique Fontecha brings over twenty years of solid experience in senior executive roles, as well as extensive involvement in executive committees and board-level relations. He joins the firm with the objective of driving its growth and consolidation strategy.

A Law graduate with a Master’s degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources Management from ESADE, Enrique Fontecha has built a career defined by a cross-functional understanding of organizational dynamics and a strong alignment between people management and business development.

Throughout his career, he has held senior Human Resources and general management positions in leading companies, also taking on responsibilities in key strategic areas such as corporate communications—both internal and external—institutional relations, corporate marketing, operations, general services, real estate management, and security.

His previous leadership roles include positions at PortAventura, Parques Reunidos Warner Madrid, EVO Banco, and Bankinter. In these environments, he has led large teams and organizational transformation projects, gaining comprehensive experience in business management.

In recent years, he has also developed expertise in corporate governance as an independent board member. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Plenergy, a company ranked third in Spain’s hydrocarbons retail market.
