Sagardoy has played a key role in a major milestone for Spain’s fashion retail industry, advising the Asociación Retail Textil España (ARTE) in connection with the agreement to establish the first national collective bargaining agreement for the textile retail sector.
This agreement, reached after an extensive negotiation process that began in 2023, represents a significant step toward harmonizing working conditions in a sector that has historically been characterized by substantial territorial fragmentation, with dozens of provincial agreements in place.
The new framework aims to streamline and standardize key aspects such as salary structures, working hours, and employment conditions, and is expected to impact a broad range of companies and professionals across the sector.
In this transaction, Sagardoy advised ARTE through a team led by Martín Godino, with the participation of Raquel Muñiz, Alberto Godino, and Ana Goerlich, leveraging their expertise in collective bargaining and labor relations in highly complex negotiation processes.
The achievement of this agreement marks the beginning of a new phase in labor relations within the textile retail sector, characterized by greater cohesion and enhanced legal certainty, following years of intensive and challenging negotiations.
Sagardoy would like to extend its congratulations to the entire sector on this important achievement, as well as express its gratitude for the trust placed in the firm by the companies that make up ARTE throughout the process.
