Montserrat Alonso has been a member of the Barcelona Bar Association since 1998, and a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2001.

Her university education started at the Pompeu Fabra University in 1994, where she gained a Degree in Law. Afterwards, she completed an Advanced Course in Employment and Labour Law and Social Security at the Centre for Financial Studies (CEF).

Montserrat has extensive experience in the area of labour and social security law. In 2008 and 2009 she was the Director of the Programme on Labour Procedural Practice held at the Madrid Bar Association. She was also a lecturer in the Master’s in Employment and Labour Law at the Sagardoy Foundation.

At present, she regularly contributes to several training programmes offered at the Sagardoy Business&Law School.

Montserrat is also a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), the Spanish Employment Relations Association (FORELAB), and the National Association of Employment and Labour Lawyers (ASNALA).

She has been recognised as a Recommended Lawyer and Other Key Lawyer by the prestigious directory The Legal 500 EMEA in 2021 and 2020.
