Leading in Employment and Labour Law
Jorge Travesedo is a Senior Employment and Social Security Inspector, and was Head Territorial Director of the Employment and Social Security Inspectorate in Madrid up until he joined Sagardoy Abogados. He holds a Degree in Law from the CEU San Pablo University.
In addition to his role as an Employment Inspector in several Spanish provinces, he has held several positions as a public officer: Counsellor on labour issues at the Employment Minister’s Office, and Deputy General Director of Education and Head of the Special Unit of Social Security Inspection at the Provincial Directorate of the General Social Security Treasury.
He also has extensive professional experience in the private sector, where he worked as Technical and Operations Director at Mapfre Prevention Service, while simultaneously holding the role of Chairman of the Madrid Association of Prevention Companies.
He also works at the Carlos III University as a lecturer in the Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention, and at the King Juan Carlos University as a lecturer in the Master’s in Employment Relations. In the past Jorge worked as Academic Director for several Master’s Programmes in Risk Prevention held by different academic institutions.
