Once again, the legal publisher Aranzadi La Ley has released the book Labor Practice for Lawyers 2025, which accurately reflects the changes that have taken place in the labor regulatory framework.

The publication addresses the most relevant developments within our field of practice throughout 2024. Each case is analyzed by the professionals directly involved, who share their experiences and insights with the legal community.

Our contribution to the 2025 edition was led by two of our Firm’s associate lawyers, Alberto Godino de Frutos and Ana Goerlich León, whose work is detailed below:

  • The existence of a prior framework agreement between the group and the majority trade unions does not invalidate the negotiation of a subsequent substantial modification of working conditions. Legitimacy of a mixed coalition to form part of the negotiating committee and enhanced value of the agreement (Supreme Court Judgment No. 298/2024 of February 16, Appeal No. 286/2021). (Alberto Godino de Frutos)
  • Order of case dismissal as grounds for review of a final judgment: (Supreme Court Judgment No. 1191/2024, dated October 15, 2024, Appeal No. 15/2023). (Ana Goerlich León)

In the “From the Board” section, our contribution was as follows:

  • Compensation in cases of unfair dismissal: Supreme Court, Labor Chamber, Judgment No. 1350/2024 of December 19, 2024, Appeal No. 2961/2023, authored by Juan Antonio Sagardoy, Honorary President, with the collaboration of Gemma Fabregat, Of Counsel at the Firm.

Labor Practice for Lawyers 2025 has become an undisputed reference work for legal professionals in general and labor law practitioners in particular, thanks to the quality and significance of the cases addressed and the excellence of the contributing lawyers. Once again, Juan Antonio Sagardoy served on the Editorial Board, and Iñigo Sagardoy, current President of the Firm, served on the Editorial Committee.
