Román Gil joined Sagardoy in 2006. He is a Partner at the Firm and a member of its Board of Directors. A labor law specialist, Román has extensive litigation and negotiation experience in all aspects of labor law and industrial relations. He is a member of EELA (European Employment Lawyers Association) and IBA (International Bar Association) and serves as a Mediator for the Interconfederal Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA).
Román has held roles such as Librarian Deputy of the Governing Board of the Madrid Bar Association for five years, was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Labor Lawyers (ASNALA), and is currently on the Board of the Spanish Forum of Labor Relations (FORELAB), which he co-founded. He is a Corresponding Academic of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation and a Fellow of Aspen Institute Spain.
He is highly specialized in executive management and international matters (direct service provision to parent companies or foreign entities and participation in international projects). He advises companies from various sectors, including technology, financial services, hospitality, automotive, and those offering services through digital platforms.
Román is the author of numerous specialized books and publications in his field, including co-directing the reference book Social Law of the European Union. Application by the Court of Justice. He combines his legal practice with teaching activities, collaborating as a professor at various public and private institutions.
