Luis Pérez Capitán has extensive professional experience. A Labour and Social Security Inspector, he was top of his class and worked in Vizcaya, Madrid and Navarre, where he was Regional Director of the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate for more than ten years.
A manager in both the public and private sectors, he was Director of Human Resources at the public company Correos y Telégrafos, S.A. for seven years and then Director of Corporate Labour Relations with national and international responsibilities at Iberia Aerolíneas de España, where he was a member of the Management Committee. He created and directed the Research Service of the UGT Confederation (SEC) for more than six years.
In the academic field, he holds a PhD in Law and is recognised as a Level A Professor, the highest level of research excellence, by Aneca. He has taught as a professor at the Public University of Navarra for more than thirty years, as well as at various prestigious universities and business schools (Carlos III, Pompeu Fabra, IE and ESADE).
He is the author of more than fifty publications and various monographs in the field of labour law on, among other aspects, collective dismissal, corporate liability for accidents at work, the definition of the employment relationship, and other matters.
