Luis Pérez Capitán

Luis Pérez Capitán has an extensive career in the field of labour law. He is a Labour Inspector and Social Security Inspector, having ranked number one in his promotion. He carried out his duties in Vizcaya, Madrid, and Navarra, the latter being where he served as the territorial director of the Labour and Social Security Inspection for over ten years.

A senior executive in both the public and private sectors, he was the Director of Human Resources for the public company CORREOS Y TELEGRAFOS, S.A. for seven years, and later, he became the Director of Corporate Labour Relations with both national and international scope at IBERIA AEROLINEAS DE ESPAÑA S.A., where he joined the company’s Management Committee. He also created and led the Research Service of the UGT Confederation (SEC) for more than six years.

He is the author of more than fifty publications (articles, book chapters in the areas of Labor Law, Social Security, and Occupational Risk Prevention), as well as various monographs in the field of Labor Law on topics such as collective dismissal, employer liability for workplace accidents, the definition of the employment relationship, and other related subjects.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In the academic field, he holds a PhD in Law and has been recognized with the qualification of Associate Professor, Level A, the highest research excellence level, by ANECA. He has taught as a professor for over thirty years at the University of Navarra, as well as at various prestigious universities and business schools, such as Carlos III University, Pompeu Fabra University, IE, ESADE, among others.
