Martín Godino Reyes
Martín Godino has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 1986. At present, he is Managing Partner of Sagardoy Abogados and General Director of the Sagardoy Study Centre.
His extensive academic education began at the School of Law of the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he graduated with a Degree in Law. Later, he gained a PhD in Law from the University of Alcalá de Henares. He completed his studies with a Master’s in Employment and Labour Law and Social Security and a Diploma from the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid.
He has ample experience in education. He has worked as a lecturer of Employment and Labour Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid, and is also a lecturer in the Master’s in Legal Practice of Employment and Labour Law at the CEU San Pablo University. He regularly takes part in the training programmes offered by the Sagardoy Study Centre, and is the author of numerous articles on labour law and social security matters.
For six consecutive years, and also in 2017, 2018 and 2019, he was distinguished as a Star Individual in the Employment and Labour Law category by the prestigious publication Chambers & Partners, and he also been recognised on several occasions in the last few years as one of the best specialist lawyers in the area of employment consultancy by Best Lawyers and Legal 500. In 2017 he was named one of the 30 best lawyers in the world by Euromoney magazine, and was also awarded the Client Choice Award, which is granted on the basis of the opinions provided by both Spanish and multinational companies with a significant presence in the market. This last accolade has been presented to Martín in several editions of the awards, the last one being in 2019.
Martín is also a Corresponding Member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation.
