Sagardoy Abogados has announced the appointment of Luis Pérez Capitán as Of Counsel to the firm, in line with its ongoing commitment to strengthening its team with highly regarded professionals in the field of Labor Law.

Luis Pérez Capitán (Madrid, 1963) is a Labor and Social Security Inspector, having graduated top of his class, and has developed an extensive career in the labor sector. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Director of the Research Department at the UGT trade union. Previously, he held senior positions such as Human Resources Director at Correos for seven years and Corporate Labor Relations Director at Iberia, where he was a member of the Executive Committee.

In the academic sphere, he holds a PhD in Law from the Public University of Navarre, where he has taught for more than three decades. He has also collaborated with several prestigious universities and business schools, including Universidad Carlos III, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, IE, and ESADE. He is the author of an extensive body of scholarly and technical work in labor law, with over fifty publications, including monographs on collective dismissals, corporate liability in workplace accidents, and the definition of the employment relationship, among other topics.
