What is happening to the Spanish labor market?

In July 2021, the EY-Sagardoy Talent and Innovation Institute was established, commencing its activities with relevant forums on labor issues. In February 2022, Human Capital Outlook, a quarterly publication providing up-to-date information on the labor market, was launched. This report is released following the publication of the Active Population Survey and National Accounts, and it is divided into three main sections.

The first section is the Quarterly Labor Market Observatory, prepared by FEDEA with the collaboration of BBVA Research and EY Insights, which analyzes the key variables of the Spanish labor market.

The second section, Legal and Labor Developments, developed by Sagardoy Abogados, covers regulatory and jurisprudential updates, as well as best practices in collective bargaining and labor relations.

Finally, the publication includes a section on Human Capital Trends, produced by professionals from EY’s People Advisory Services, addressing best practices and innovations concerning the future of work and human resources.

This inaugural issue provides a detailed analysis of the labor market closure in 2021, the labor reform, and best human resources practices post-pandemic, all presented in a concise and up-to-date manner.
