The EY-Sagardoy Institute for Talent and Innovation has published the 12th edition of the Human Capital Outlook. This quarterly report, prepared in collaboration with FEDEA (Foundation for Applied Economic Studies), provides an analysis of labour market developments and the latest workplace trends during the second quarter of 2024.
In this latest edition, the EY-Sagardoy Institute’s report examines the evolution of the labour market, highlighting strong employment performance, a decline in unemployment, and improvements in productivity per hour worked. It also reviews recent labour regulations and case law developments, and explores human capital trends for 2025, including challenges and opportunities in international talent mobility and changes introduced by the new immigration regulations.
María Jesús López Sánchez, partner at Sagardoy Abogados and head of the Seville office, contributes an opinion column on the equality of the LGTBI community in the workplace, asserting that “the regulatory development not only clarifies legal terms but also establishes concrete obligations for companies.”
